GloFish® Tetras Pristella Tetra Variety

Pristella GloFish® Tetras are another fascinating variety of GloFish Tetras, created by genetically modifying the Pristella Tetra (Pristella maxillaris) to produce a brilliant array of fluorescent colors.

Appearance:
Pristella GloFish® Tetras come in a range of dazzling fluorescent colors. They have a similar body shape to the standard Pristella Tetra and display an intense glow under blue or ultraviolet light.

Pristella GloFish® Tetras come in many varieties. Choose from these brilliant colors::

  • Sunburst Orange® Pristella Tetra
  • Electric Green® Pristella Tetra
  • Galactic Purple® Pristella Tetra

Personality:
These tetras are peaceful, active, and social fish. They enjoy schooling and are compatible with a variety of tank mates.

Tank Habitat and Care:
These tetras thrive in well-planted tanks with plenty of hiding places and moderate water flow. A dark substrate and background can further enhance their colors. The tank should be equipped with a heater, filter, and special blue or ultraviolet light to emphasize their fluorescence. Regular water changes and monitoring water parameters are essential for their well-being.

Diet:
Pristella GloFish® Tetras are omnivores and will readily eat high-quality flake or pellet foods, as well as live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia.
