Fluorescent GloFish® Danios are the first designer-bred Danios (Zebra Fish) to come in five neon colors:

GloFish® Danios are not dyed, and their color, which is inherited from their parents, does not fade!

Original generations of GloFish® were genetically enhanced as embryos to help detect environmental pollutants and advance scientific research. Now every generation of GloFish® is born with its amazing color! The brilliant hues are produced by a fluorescent protein gene occurring naturally in marine organisms.

GloFish® Danios are peaceful fish that can be kept with other peaceful fish, making them a great addition to a community tank with livebearers, dwarf gouramis, tetras, and cory catfish. They are not known to be fin nippers, but like most Danios, they will pester other fish if they are in undersized schools. They will be fine in a community tank as long as you keep them with 6 or more of their own species and ensure the aquarium is not overcrowded.

GloFish® Danios are omnivores and will readily accept a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, frozen, or live foods such as brine shrimp or bloodworms. Feeding them small portions several times a day is recommended.

If you're looking to add these lively and attractive fish to your aquarium, they require a minimum tank size of 10 gallons. The water should be kept clean and well-oxygenated with a pH range of 6.0 to 8.0 and a temperature range of 64-75°F (18-24°C).
